Common questions

What makes Elina Go! special?

Flashcards come from your own school book, and you learn step by step – in six complete courses from A1 to B2, explained in sixteen native languages. You test yourself on screen in the app or on paper with a printable PDF. All of it without an account, without ads and without internet – and Fred keeps you company while you practise.

Can I use the app on several devices?

Your progress travels with you: iPhone, iPad and Mac sync it through your own iCloud whenever you open the app – no account with us, no server of ours.

Are the learned words lost when the device changes?

Only without a backup. The settings offer one, and it writes a file into your own cloud, that is iCloud Drive or Google Drive. On the new device you read the same file back in. We store nothing for you, which is also why we cannot restore anything.

Which languages can I learn, and in which language is it explained?

Six courses from A1 to B2: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish and German. Everything is explained in sixteen native languages.

Does the app need the internet?

Not for learning. Every course ships inside the app.

Does the app cost anything?

No. All courses and all languages are free.

How do I practise irregular verbs, comparison and plurals?

Open the “Grammar” tab and choose “Irregular forms”: verbs, comparison and plural each have a preview, a flashcard box and a test.
