Elina Go! makes language learning easy - starting with the words in your own book.
Photograph the vocabulary page in your exercise book and the app turns it into cards. It reads the page on the device – no picture leaves the phone. Every word it recognizes is checked against a dictionary and a morphology engine instead of being taken on trust: what is uncertain is shown to you rather than saved wrong in silence. Typed or pasted lists work the same way. A finished list prints as a test sheet, shuffled if you like, so the order is not learned along with the words. And you can hand it on as a file: one tap, and it is in a classmate's notebook.
English, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish and German. Each course carries over 4,500 words, sorted by level and topic, plus 40 to 50 grammar chapters - from the first word to a confident conversation. The app itself speaks 13 languages, so you can learn English from Polish, Turkish or Arabic just as well as from German.
A flashcard box that knows when a card is due again: what you know comes back rarely, what wobbles comes back soon. Almost every word carries two example sentences - one plain and immediately clear, one the way native speakers really talk. Both are explained in your own language. Over 8,000 such sentences per course.
Every topic explained, with examples and twelve questions to practice. A timeline shows where a tense belongs. For languages with cases there is a compass that shows why a case is used. And the inflection trainer asks for forms produced by a real grammar engine - not memorised lists, but the rules of the language itself. And the irregular verbs of every language – in Polish the aspect pairs – with a preview, the answer flashing up for a moment, and a graded test.
Hear difficult sounds, tell them apart, say them back. Especially the sounds your own language does not have - the ones you would otherwise never notice.
Experience points, a daily goal and a streak with a joker for the day it does not work out. Fred the frog learns along and cheers - a companion for younger learners, a progress bar with character for everybody else.
No account. No sign-up. No ads. No tracking. Everything you learn stays on the device. If you want a backup, it goes to your own cloud - iCloud Drive or Google Drive. Your learning never reaches us.
Free, complete, no catch.
Only without a backup. The settings offer one, and it writes a file into your own cloud, that is iCloud Drive or Google Drive. On the new device you read the same file back in. We store nothing for you, which is also why we cannot restore anything.
Not for learning. Every course ships inside the app.
No. All courses and all languages are free.
Every card can be edited or deleted by hand in the vocabulary book.
Deleting the app from the device removes everything. We hold nothing that we could delete.
